Dec 11, 2023 · In 2021, the Greater Boston Food Bank provided nearly 25 million pounds of food to Boston residents through food pantries in nearly every neighborhood. Much of the food pantry system relies on volunteers. Contributions are critical to help food pantries provide additional food, including: staples that are culturally relevant to each community.
