Usually Trintellix is used after failing 2+ other antidepressants and Rexulti is used to augment an antidepressant when it doesn't provide complete response. My depression is generally treatment-resistant. And without Depakote, I tend to oscillate between moods pretty quickly, and I tend to get into somewhat bothersome mixed states.
